As a supporter
We have a growing number of Friends of London Citizens who make regular financial contributions to London Citizens. Taking action on issues of the common good
South London Citizens addresses issues that matter to the people of South London. We are currently pursuing a wide range of dynamic campaigns addressing the vital issues which touch the lives of people in South London. We run local, South-London-wide, and London-wide campaigns. Our most famous campaign is for the London Living Wage. This eight year effort has secured victories in many workplaces. In the past few years, the campaign has won over £30 million for London’s lowest paid. Details of all our varied campaigns and the victories we have secured are on this website.
How are CITIZENS campaigns agreed?
London Citizens runs regular Listening Campaigns across its membership. Issues are identified and people organise themselves to take action. Campaigns are agreed by members through votes at regular assemblies and strategy meetings. Any member organisation can propose a campaign to the full membership. All campaigns are led by an action team of individuals from the membership who undertake research, propose tactics and take part in negotiations. Anyone who belongs to London Citizens can join a campaign team. These teams report back to the full membership on a regular basis.
